Description of this role
Friends of Art is looking for a junior or senior year graphic design student for a semester to be part of the marketing committee. This role involves creating and designing for continuous events such as Visiting Artists events and the Annual Art Auction. Meetings are held once a month which falls on the third Tuesday of the month which starts at 6:30pm until 8pm. Student needs to be available for most of the meetings since crucial information is shared.
Ideal candidates:
Must be proactive, ask questions and be independent. There will not be any other designers on the committee, you will be the sole expert!
Be comfortable with knowing and/or researching what sizes/orientations are needed for social media, print, email, etc.
Be comfortable with doing some content writing.
Good communication skills. Keep in touch with marketing committee on updates and/or needs.
Responsibilities:
Follow Friends of Art branding
Create social media assets for Visiting Artists events as well as the Annual Art Auction event. Includes banners for event creation and event posting for Facebook.
Create flyers/posters for Visiting Artist and Annual Art Auction events.
Adding events to Friends of Art Squarespace website
Give ideas/insights to any other marketing needs.
